Join Scouting Night

Boys in Grades 1-5 are invited to join Scouting. When: September 16th at 6:30 PM. Where: Marshall Elementary School. Our mission that night will be to get Pack 601 organized for Fun! We will be going over 5 key events for the year (camping, service projects, Pinewood Derby, Blue/Gold Banquet and Raingutter Regatta) We will be recruiting adults and families to participate and help lead the Pack in activities. We will be officially registering the boys. So, come out and join Scouting!!!

Pack 601: Bike Hike, August 8th, 2009, 10:30 - Chesapeake City, MD

Parents,

Weather permitting, we will have our Bike Hike on the Delaware-Chesapeake Canal.  We will only do what the boys can handle and will do an up and back.  The canal road is a dirt road, but flat and smooth.  We will start in Chesapeake City, MD.  Directions from the church are:

469 Salem Church Rd Newark, DE 19702

1.	Head south on Salem Church Rd toward Joseph Dr		2.1 mi
2.	Continue on Porter Rd		2.0 mi
3.	Turn left at DE-72/Wrangle Hill Rd		1.0 mi
4.	Turn right at DE-71/Red Lion Rd		4.0 mi
5.	Turn left at Chesapeake City Rd Entering Maryland		2.7 mi
6.	Continue on Biddle St/MD-285		1.9 mi

Chesapeake City, MD

Just south of this intersection is a big parking lot where we can park our vehicles.  We will leave the church at 10:00 AM and for those who wish to go straight there, we will be at the parking lot in Chesapeake City at 10:30.

Make sure you bring a helmet and plenty of water.  This is a family event.

Pack 601: Blue Rocks Sleep-over- Money due August 6th

Parents,

We are on a short time frame to get money collected for the Blue Rocks Sleepover.  My family and I were on vacation 2 weeks ago when the information came in the mail.  We finally got through all the mail this weekend.  So here is the information:

Date:  August 14th
Time:  7:05
Cost:

• $15 for game and sleepover (includes a patch)
• $8 for game
• +$5 gets you a hat
• +9 gets you a hat, hotdog and soda

Money and form (below) should be dropped off at my house no latter than 8:00 PM on Thursday the 6th.  I will get the money to the BR on Friday (the due date).
